This is a rare, brass barrelled pistol, used by Customs and Excise, made by Barnett of London, originally in flintlock, early 19th century, later converted to percussion.
Lock named by Barnett. with drum and nipple conversion.
8 inch brass barrel, inscribed with Customs and London proof marks. 0.75" calibre. With an original ramrod.
Overall, very good condition. Lock working well - with strong mainspring and action as it should.
An interesting historical piece - very collectable.
